Shipping & Delivery Policy

White-Glove Delivery

Every Cold Spring structure is delivered fully assembled by a professional delivery team experienced in transporting and placing large outdoor structures.

Standard delivery includes transportation, offloading, and final placement using specialized placement equipment, including shed mule systems designed to navigate tight spaces and position structures directly onto prepared foundations.

Our team works closely with customers prior to delivery to review access conditions, placement logistics, and site readiness in order to ensure a smooth installation experience.

Shipping Coverage

Cold Spring currently offers delivery throughout the Continental United States.

Standard shipping coverage is generally included for qualifying structures delivered within approximately 1,000 miles of ZIP code 21740.

Certain locations, structures, or delivery conditions may require additional shipping charges, including but not limited to:

  • Remote or difficult-to-access areas

  • Mountainous or restricted-access locations

  • Congested urban environments

  • Ferry or island deliveries

  • Oversized or custom-engineered structures

  • Areas requiring specialized transportation routing

Island deliveries are not included within standard free shipping coverage.

While we make every effort to provide complimentary shipping whenever possible, some locations may not qualify for included delivery based on logistics, distance, permitting, transportation restrictions, or operational complexity.

For deliveries beyond approximately 1,000 miles from ZIP code 21740, transportation costs generally range between $4–$10 per mile depending on structure size, route complexity, fuel costs, and delivery conditions. Customers should contact our team directly for a custom delivery quote.

Site Preparation & Placement Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring the site is fully prepared and accessible prior to delivery.

This includes:

  • A completed and level foundation or prepared placement surface

  • Adequate truck and trailer access

  • Sufficient clearance width and height for placement equipment

  • Adequate turning radius and maneuvering space

  • Clear access free of obstacles, low branches, soft ground, fencing, utilities, or grade issues

Standard delivery includes structure placement using specialized mule equipment where site conditions reasonably allow.

Properties with restricted access, steep grades, retaining walls, fencing limitations, overhead obstructions, soft terrain, or insufficient clearance may require crane service or additional specialty equipment.

Crane services are not included within standard delivery pricing unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

Delivery Access & Additional Charges

If our delivery team arrives and the structure cannot be safely delivered or placed due to inaccurate site information, inadequate access, insufficient clearance, unprepared site conditions, or unforeseen property limitations, additional costs associated with completing the delivery may become the responsibility of the customer.

These costs may include, but are not limited to:

  • Crane services

  • Redelivery fees

  • Storage fees

  • Additional transportation charges

  • Specialty equipment rentals

  • Labor expenses

  • Route modifications

  • Permit or escort costs

Cold Spring works extensively with customers prior to delivery to avoid these situations whenever possible. We strongly encourage customers to provide photos, measurements, videos, and walkthroughs of delivery access areas in advance so our logistics team can properly plan the delivery approach.

Delivery Timing

All delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery schedules may be impacted by:

  • Weather conditions

  • Carrier scheduling

  • Road restrictions

  • Manufacturing delays

  • Seasonal demand

  • Permitting or routing complications

  • Events outside of Cold Spring’s control

Customers will be contacted as delivery approaches to coordinate scheduling and final placement logistics.

Risk of Loss & Inspection

Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery.

Customers must inspect the structure upon delivery and notify Cold Spring promptly of any visible shipping-related damage or issues. Shipping-related claims should be reported immediately upon or shortly after delivery to allow timely documentation and resolution.

If shipping damage is determined to have occurred during transportation, Cold Spring will coordinate repair solutions directly or through qualified local service resources at our discretion.

Customers acknowledge that certain repairs, replacement parts, scheduling, or service coordination may require reasonable processing and completion time depending on location and repair complexity.
